Can my wife's hair somehow graft itself to my skin by accident?

First of all, let me preface by saying this is a serious question. Recently I noticed while on a long car trip that I had this long thin strand of blondish hair growing out of my hand (about two inches). It wasn't stuck to my hand, it was literally growing out of it. I naturally have dark black hair. My wife has sandy ash blond hair. Could one of her hairs somehow have grafted itself to one of the hair pores on my hand? Is such a thing possible? Apart from the obvious color difference, the foreign strand was thinner than the other hairs that grow out of my arms and hands. What was going on?

No, if the hair shaft was damaged it will make the hair grow differently even lighter, finner than your usual hair...it is impossible because you body will reject foreign body matireal...ie..hair....if your system does not recognize something it starts sending wbc to fight the foreign body and then tries to kick it out of you body....like kidney, heart, and liver transplant patients they all need to take anti rejection medication which makes them have a weaker immune system but they need this so their new transplant will not get rejected....hope that helps.....

No, that's impossible. Sometimes odd hairs that don't match the rest of our hair grow on our bodies. I have sandy blonde hair, and every now and then I get a thick, wiry black hair growing on my arm. It's normal.

no. In order for a hair to grow it needs the root, which is below the top layer of skin.

Get it checked by a physician.

No this is one of your very own hairs. I get these strange hair every now and again myself. It seems that they grow very fast and are thinner than my regular hair. I don't know if there is a scientific reason for them or not. The hairs are very easy to pull out.

No that's not possible. But maybe you had a cut or bump to the pore and it grew kind of mutated. I've had that happen before.

No that was your hair. Sometimes a hair will grow out long and funny looking even on a woman. A wild hair!
